The ForDiL App
ForDiL (Forest Digital Learning) brings together Belgian, French, and Czech partners. The project aims to develop a digital application enabling current and future foresters to train independently in Continuous Cover Forestry approach (CCF).
The application is under development and will soon be available for free download. Don’t miss its release — leave us your contact details.
Project Overview
ForDiL aims to develop a digital tool for self-paced training. It is intended for current and future forest owners and managers (students in forestry or silviculture programs at vocational schools and higher education institutions), to help them develop their skills in continuous cover forestry approach (CCF).
Marteloscopes et travailloscopes
The digital application under development is based on field devices: the marteloscopes and travailloscopes, real-life experimental sites for CCMS. Each partner is developing a training site in their own territory.
Pedagogical approach
Students and teachers from partner institutions are involved in the testing phases and benefit from exchanges with other European students on CCF approach in the context of various forest stands.
Digital dimension
The expected outcome of the project is an application available in English, French, and Czech, offering target audiences a digital educational tool that enables them to experiment with CCF approach independently.
This project started at the end of 2023 and will run for three years. Discover all the stages and progress of the project through our illustrated timeline.
